Needs changes. This template uses 2 thing(s) that n8n 3.0 removes: Cron, Function (legacy). 2 breaking item(s) found. Static check, last run 2026-10-19.

What this workflow does

This workflow has 7 nodes and runs on a schedule (legacy Cron node). It uses only n8n's built-in nodes. It also calls api.ipify.org over HTTP.

How it runs

Trigger: On a schedule (legacy Cron node).

  1. Get Public IP address (HTTP Request): calls api.ipify.org
  2. Checks IP if new (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  3. yourdomain.com (Edit Fields (Set)): sets or maps fields
  4. subdomains (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  5. Loops trough Subdomain list (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  6. Send data to Namecheap (HTTP Request): calls an HTTP API

HTTP calls to: api.ipify.org

Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0

  • Cron: replace with Schedule Trigger.
  • Function (legacy) in Checks IP if new, subdomains, Loops trough Subdomain list: replace with Code node, mode 'Run Once for All Items'.
