What this workflow does
This workflow has 10 nodes and runs manually, when you click “Execute workflow”. It uses only n8n's built-in nodes.
How it runs
Trigger: Manually, when you click “Execute workflow”.
- GetTimesheetRecords (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
- SortElements (Item Lists): reshapes item lists (legacy Item Lists node)
- GetImg (Item Lists): reshapes item lists (legacy Item Lists node)
- Merge: merges the data from its input branches
- ImgBinary (HTTP Request): calls an HTTP API
- CreateMDReport (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
- Markdown: converts between Markdown and HTML
- Move Binary Data (Convert to/from binary data): uses Convert to/from binary data
- Send Email: sends an email over SMTP
Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0
3 things in this workflow are removed in n8n 3.0. Fix them before you upgrade:
- Item Lists (legacy) in SortElements, GetImg: replace with Split Out, Aggregate, Sort, Limit, Remove Duplicates or Summarize (match the operation used).
- Function (legacy) in CreateMDReport, GetTimesheetRecords: replace with Code node, mode 'Run Once for All Items'.
- Convert to/from binary data in Move Binary Data1: replace with Convert to File or Extract from File.
Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
