Move data between JSON and spreadsheets
Needs changesWhat this workflow does
This workflow has 10 nodes and runs from “HTTP Request” (no trigger node, so run it manually or call it from another workflow). Along the way it connects Google Sheets and Gmail. It also calls randomuser.me over HTTP.
How it runs
Trigger: From “HTTP Request” (no trigger node, so run it manually or call it from another workflow).
- HTTP Request: calls randomuser.me
- Set (Edit Fields (Set)): sets or maps fields
- Google Sheets: append
- Spreadsheet File: reads or writes a spreadsheet file (legacy node)
- Spreadsheet File: reads or writes a spreadsheet file (legacy node)
- Move Binary Data (Convert to/from binary data): uses Convert to/from binary data
- Write Binary File: uses Write Binary File
- Gmail: uses Gmail
- Move Binary Data (Convert to/from binary data): uses Convert to/from binary data
- Google Sheets: append
Services it uses
HTTP calls to: randomuser.me
Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0
2 things in this workflow are removed in n8n 3.0. Fix them before you upgrade:
- Write Binary File: replace with Read/Write Files from Disk.
- Convert to/from binary data in Move Binary Data1, Move Binary Data2: replace with Convert to File or Extract from File.
- Also check Spreadsheet File: Convert to File / Extract from File.
Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
| Removed in 3.0 | Replace with |
|---|---|
| Write Binary File Write Binary File | Read/Write Files from Disk |
| Convert to/from binary data Move Binary Data1, Move Binary Data2 | Convert to File or Extract from File |
