Needs changes. This template uses 1 thing(s) that n8n 3.0 removes: Item Lists (legacy). 1 breaking item(s) found. Static check, last run 2026-10-19.

What this workflow does

This workflow has 11 nodes and runs on a schedule (every day at 08:00). Along the way it connects Google Sheets and Slack. It also calls app.scrapingbee.com over HTTP.

How it runs

Trigger: On a schedule (every day at 08:00).

  1. Get all past reviews (Google Sheets): uses Google Sheets
  2. Add your competitors here (Code): runs custom JavaScript code
  3. Continue only if review is new (Merge): merges the data from its input branches
  4. Get G2 data with ScrapingBee (HTTP Request): calls app.scrapingbee.com
  5. Add new review to Google Sheets (Google Sheets): append
  6. Send new review to Slack (Slack): uses Slack
  7. Get review section HTML (HTML): parses or builds HTML
  8. Iterate on reviews (Item Lists): reshapes item lists (legacy Item Lists node)
  9. Extract structured data (HTML): parses or builds HTML
  10. Convert Review HTML to Markdown (Markdown): converts between Markdown and HTML

Services it uses

Google SheetsSlack

HTTP calls to: app.scrapingbee.com

Scraping pages by hand? Firecrawl is a simpler option (10% off for new users).

Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0

1 thing in this workflow is removed in n8n 3.0. Fix it before you upgrade:

  • Item Lists (legacy) in Iterate on reviews: replace with Split Out, Aggregate, Sort, Limit, Remove Duplicates or Summarize (match the operation used).

Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
