Needs changes. This template uses 1 thing(s) that n8n 3.0 removes: Function (legacy). 1 breaking item(s) found. Static check, last run 2026-10-19.

What this workflow does

This workflow has 8 nodes and runs manually, when you click “Execute workflow”. It uses only n8n's built-in nodes. It also calls serpapi.com over HTTP.

How it runs

Trigger: Manually, when you click “Execute workflow”.

  1. Set Domain & Region (Edit Fields (Set)): sets or maps fields
  2. Get Ads Page (HTTP Request): calls serpapi.com
  3. Extract Ad Creatives (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  4. Split by Format (Switch): routes items into 3 branches
  5. Convert Text Ads to CSV (Spreadsheet File): reads or writes a spreadsheet file (legacy node)
  6. Convert Image Ads to CSV (Spreadsheet File): reads or writes a spreadsheet file (legacy node)
  7. Convert Video Ads to CSV (Spreadsheet File): reads or writes a spreadsheet file (legacy node)

HTTP calls to: serpapi.com

Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0

1 thing in this workflow is removed in n8n 3.0. Fix it before you upgrade:

  • Function (legacy) in Extract Ad Creatives: replace with Code node, mode 'Run Once for All Items'.
  • Also check Spreadsheet File: Convert to File / Extract from File.

Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
