Needs changes. This template uses 2 thing(s) that n8n 3.0 removes: Cron, Function (legacy). 2 breaking item(s) found. Static check, last run 2026-10-19.

What this workflow does

This workflow has 10 nodes and runs on a schedule (legacy Cron node). Along the way it connects Monday.com, Gmail, Jira Software and Slack.

How it runs

Trigger: On a schedule (legacy Cron node).

  1. Fetch Open Jira Issues (Jira Software): get many
  2. Filter Dependencies (If): checks a condition and branches into true / false
  3. Extract Dependency Details (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  4. Compute Impact Score (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  5. Create Monday.com Item (Monday.com): work with board item
  6. Create Coordination Task (Jira Software): uses Jira Software
  7. Email Formatter (Code): runs custom JavaScript code
  8. Post to Slack (Slack): uses Slack
  9. Send Email Report (Gmail): uses Gmail

Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0

2 things in this workflow are removed in n8n 3.0. Fix them before you upgrade:

  • Cron in Trigger (Nightly Run): replace with Schedule Trigger.
  • Function (legacy) in Extract Dependency Details, Compute Impact Score: replace with Code node, mode 'Run Once for All Items'.

Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
