What this workflow does

This workflow has 8 nodes and runs on a schedule (legacy Cron node). Along the way it connects Google Calendar and Trello.

How it runs

Trigger: On a schedule (legacy Cron node).

  1. Calculate Today's Date Range (Function): runs custom JavaScript (legacy Function node)
  2. Fetch All Today's Calendar Events (Google Calendar): uses Google Calendar
  3. Process Events One by One (Loop Over Items (Split in Batches)): loops over the items in batches
  4. Extract Event Details for Trello (Edit Fields (Set)): sets or maps fields
  5. Filter Out Routine Events (If): checks a condition and branches into true / false
  6. Create New Trello Card with Template (Trello): uses Trello

Services it uses

Google CalendarTrello

Before you upgrade to n8n 3.0

2 things in this workflow are removed in n8n 3.0. Fix them before you upgrade:

  • Cron in Run Daily at 8 AM: replace with Schedule Trigger.

Rather not rewrite it? Many of these flows can be rebuilt in Make (free plan).
